The Mandarin Hotel is approximately a 10 minute (.4 mile) down-hill walk from the Sackler Gallery, south on 12th Street SW then right on Maryland Ave SW. Taxis and Ubers are also readily available.

Our event is NOT the hotel's famed high tea, which is quite expensive. Our gathering will include a pot of coffee or tea and your choice of dessert.

Venue is ADA compliant.

An inviting escape from the rigors of the city, the Empress Lounge and Terrace at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel is a relaxing venue in the busy Southwest waterfront. Choose from a selection of fine teas from around the world and your choice of the signature "Mandarin" dessert of a mandarin orange presented five ways or a slice of mixed-berry cheesecake served with lemon-scented mascarpone.
