Miniature Golf at East Potomac Park/$6
Thursday, July 11, 2019, 11:45 AM
Health and Wellness
Registration is recommended
Everyone is welcome, including guests and first-time players or those who might just want to go along and observe the play. Your RSVP is helpful in planning the event, but not required.
We will meet at the Boathouse games area just beyond the fountains where 7th Street meets the Washington Channnel (to the left of Hank's Oyster Bar) at 11:45 am for the water jitney ride to East Potomac Park. The miniature golf course is a short walk from the dock. There is no charge for the water jitney; the senior discount rate for the golf is $6. If you can bring cash, you can avoid the walk to the clubhouse and go directly to the miniature golf course (recommended).
If you prefer to travel to the golf course by car, the address for GPS is 972 Ohio Drive SW and free parking is usually available.
Afterwards, if you would like a snack at the club house, please see the link on this website for a full menu.
We regret that neither the water jitney, the golf course, nor the snack bar are ADA compliant: Three steps are required to access the water jitney, four to the snack bar, and several holes of the course require climbing several stairs for complete play. The grounds of the course are uneven and, in places, paved with large gravel which would make transit chair or walker use difficult.
WEATHER POLICY: This event will be rescheduled if there is a 50% or higher chance of rain 24 hours before the event, or if a DC Alert heat advisory has been issued. Bottled water is available in the club house or you may bring your own.
Members pay for their own charges
Village Volunteer Mary Lou Shehadi invites Villagers to join her for a water jitney ride from The Wharf to the East Potomac Miniature Golf Course (the nation's oldest!) for a round of miniature golf followed by a snack in the clubhouse.
