The Village provides you with opportunities to participate in a broad range of activities, including: arts and crafts, live theatre and movies, wellness seminars, financial and estate planning events, social hours, lunches and dinners. Village members enjoy weekly activities, making the most out of the nearby downtown cultural hub which provides an unending variety of lectures, tours, concerts, films, and theatre.

Member Services Center
You will be supported by our team of staff members and volunteers to help you navigate the questions and concerns that arise from a sometimes overwhelming variety of public and private agencies offering senior support services, as well as offering referrals to vendors vetted for Village members' services at the national, local, or neighborhood level.

Member Services Concierge
You will get the help you need by telephone, in our office, or your home to assist with resources available from public and private agencies offering senior support services. Your Member Services Concierge, with your proper legal approvals, can make telephone calls on your behalf, set appointments, and even arrange a volunteer Friendly Companion to join you for note-taking during meetings.
A premium service available to Full members.
Personalized service to assist you with our vetted vendors for services including health care, home maintenance, grooming needs, housekeeping and laundry, auto repair, home and mobile technology, pet care, and more. Your Home Services Concierge can make appointments for you to interview service providers or get estimates, and even schedule one of our volunteer Friendly Companions to join you and take notes. The Village will also act as your advocate should any invoicing or warranty problems arise. Our volunteer handymen can also help with changing light bulbs, clearing interior drains, and hanging pictures and draperies (see guidelines below).
Your Home Services Concierge can also coordinate volunteer support for daily telephone check-ins, Friendly Companion visits (and let us know if you'd enjoy a pet along for the visit!), gardening help, and more.
Meal delivery can be arranged from nearby restaurants in Southwest, including All About Burger, Masala Art (10% discount for Village members), Station 4, and Subway, as well as shopping help or delivery from Safeway. We can also pick-up and deliver your prescriptions from the CVS and Safeway Pharmacy locations on Fourth Street, S.W.
Mobility is key to maintaining a happy and healthy lifestyle, and our Transportation Services package has what you need. 12 trips per year per household are offered for medical appointments anywhere in the District and Arlington County or to any Southwest or Navy Yard grocery store, plus four discretionary trips to the District or Arlington County destinations of your choice (including National Airport). Service is provided by a combination of our vetted, insured volunteer drivers or staff, Uber private car service, or taxis.
Our Welcome Home benefit package is designed to make an overnight hospital or rehabilitation facility stay as stress-free as possible by offering round trip transportation, with a companion, in addition to your 16 annual rides, and as many times per year as needed.
We're able to make reservations for you with airlines, Amtrak, bus companies, and other transport providers - at no fee.

1 Companion (formerly Social) Memberships may be offered by Full and Supporting members to up to two friends/companions who may attend Village events with them.
2 $200 of your Supporting dues are considered a donation for tax purposes, and $100 may be applied to a one-time upgrade to a Full Membership.
3 Full Memberships are limited to those 62 years of age and older who live in the Southwest Waterfront or Navy Yard neighborhoods. Full Memberships require a minimum 10 business days application process, with the exception of the upgrades of current Supporting members to Full member status, which is immediate should a medical emergency arise. The 10 day application process may also be shortened if the new Member is currently utilizing the services of a qualified home care or care management organization.
4 Up to three persons sharing a domicile or a professional caregiver/healthcare advocate whom the member requires support from at Village events.
